I'm Kameryn Rome and I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Sciences May 2014 in Mass Communication at Nicholls State University. I'm a creative, young, aspiring college graduate ready to conquer the world! My concentration was in print journalism because I have always enjoyed writing. What I have always enjoyed the most is photography.
While in college I worked several semesters as a staff photographer on The Nicholls Worth and the La Pirogue which was the university newspaper and yearbook. When I graduated college I volunteered at the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter and have done several photo shoots for Louisiana Football Magazine where my work was published. I have been doing freelance photography for the Houma Courier and Daily Comet for 9 years now and have enjoyed going to local events and meeting new people.
Through my education I have learned a variety of media skills. I became familiar with windows and mac settings. I am skilled in Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Wordpress, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Movie Maker/ Imovie, SoundCloud, and most social media platforms. I know how to do web design using CSS and HTML; write publications in AP style; produce and edit photos; produce and create flyers, brochures, business cards, invitations, CD covers, and most anything that could be designed and produced. I am familiar with HTML, and Visual Studios
I worked for a manufacturing company for 2 1/2 years as a graphic designer. I updated their website with documents that I would create and update. I assembled catalogues with brochures of the products the company offered. I created their social media platform which included Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn. I wore many hats and worked on many creative projects.
I recently graduated in May 2020 with a business degree with a concentration in computer information systems. I'm currently looking for new opportunities and have a lot to offer through my education and on the job experience.
I am always open to working on new creative projects.
